Structure theory for regular graphs with fixed smallest eigenvalue with applications to edge-regular graphs and Neumaier graphs

We show that there are only finitely many strictly Neumaier graphs with smallest eigenvalue at least -3. We expect that there exists an integer t > 0 such that there are infinitely many strictly Neumaier graphs with smallest eigenvalue -t.
